Around 60 people from Candor TechSpace came together on 4th September 2019 to plant trees in Gurugram as part of an employee volunteering programme. The activity was conducted in association with ‘I Am Gurgaon’.
The need for environmental conservation has become more prominent in the past few years. Not just NGOs, several corporate organisations too have started several initiatives to promote environmental welfare. Considering that planting trees can greatly aid the environment, Candor TechSpace, in association with its NGO partner ‘I Am Gurgaon’, organised a ‘Go-Green Plantation Drive’ at Badshahpur Bundh in Sector 70, Gurugram, on 4th September 2019.
Around 60 people from Candor gathered at the event venue to plant around 200 saplings as part of this employee volunteering programme. Everyone teamed up in groups and started planting the saplings with guidance from experts of ‘I Am Gurgaon’. Since this activity was organised during the monsoon season, it will ensure that the saplings flourish, with the help of natural irrigation.
It was a pleasure to see the volunteers from our organisation and with a common interest in environmental responsibility coming together to participate wholeheartedly in this plantation drive. Big thanks to all those who took part! It is due to their selfless efforts that we are expecting many more trees to grow in Gurugram.
Our tree plantation drive was a great way of giving back to the environment in whatever way we could. We hope that it encourages others to give back to the environment, to ensure that our future generations share the blessings of nature. As part of its CSR initiatives, Candor has also funded the development of an approximately 750-metre stretch of Badshahpur Bundh in Gurugram. Here’s to a greener world!
