A Wild Play Of Colours During Holi

Cheeks smeared in hues of pink, green, yellow and red, getting drenched in coloured water or devouring the special festive delicacies—this is why Holi is one of the most loved festivals of India. Candor TechSpace celebrated this fun-filled and high-spirited festival in all of its campuses from 27th February to 1st March 2018.

Holi, the joyous festival of colour, is when colours and gulaal are everywhere in the air. This is the occasion when people smear one another with coloured powder and spray each other using squirt guns with the greeting, “Happy Holi!”. Honouring the triumph of ‘good’ over ‘evil’, the festival bridges the social gaps between age, class and gender.

We are sure that you will agree that regardless of how it is celebrated, Holi brings with it a positive vibe of festive elation, excitement and fun. And it was this happy, vibrant spirit that made its way into the campuses of Candor TechSpace when it celebrated the festival in an event organised from 27th February to 1st March 2018. Based on the theme ‘Rangotsav’, the affair saw attendance from thousands of occupants of Candor’s campuses at Sectors 21 and 48 in Gurugram, Sectors 62 and 135 in Noida, and New Town (Rajarhat) in Kolkata.

One of the best parts of this event was the intercorporate competition called ‘Corporate Challengers’, where many companies participated as teams in a variety of dancing and acting contests. The winning teams won amazing prizes. A games arena was also set up to offer attendees the opportunity to participate in exciting games including sack race, lemon race and bull ride. A colourful Jenga set-up was organised and a huge ball pit installed for the entertainment of the attendees.

The venue at every campus wore a festive look as it was decorated with colourful festoons and lights. Like all festivals in India, food plays an intrinsic role in Holi celebrations too, and Candor TechSpace spared no effort in taking care of this aspect. Counters were set up to provide attendees with a delicious Holi spread including the thick, creamy drink called ‘thandai’. The emcee for the event was outstanding; he brought out a trademark style of humour while getting the audience involved in exciting game activities. The attendees had a gala time as they got to see performances by a professional dance troupe, silk trapeze artistes, a DJ and dhol players.

Vibrant colours, catchy music and lots of entertainment: all this encapsulated the Holi celebrations at Candor TechSpace, and the attendees loved it!
